RIU Palace Aruba

Riu Palace is widely known for their all-inclusive packages with free flowing drinks and all you can eat buffets. RIU Palace is located right on the beach and has a lot to offer for tourists who are there to enjoy the sun and relax on the beach.

Suites

Our rooms were perfect, junior suites with plenty of space, two private balconies overlooking the ocean and a minibar that was restocked daily. The resort location is wonderful! Shopping, dining and nightlife are all just a 2 minute walk down the street to a place called “The Village”  After the nightly entertainment at the resort we always found ourselves drawn to the upbeat music and the crowd.  Routinely, we would stretch our feet and if the mood strikes partake the low-key nightlife in Aruba before turning in for the night.

Pools

Riu is known for their extravagant pools.  To us it’s their signature Riu chain, this one also has a number of ginormous pools. Two of the three pools had a great swim up bar for refreshments. If you are looking for some fun, be sure to hang out in the main pool. It was bustling with music and some sort of different activity each day that was planned out by the RIU entertainment crew.  Be sure to join in the water aerobics and other daily pool activities if you’re looking for some fun!

Beach

The hotel is located right on the beach which is nothing but a long stretch of beautiful white sand that was nice and flat with no sudden drops while entering the tropical Caribbean water with minimal waves. You could walk in either direction and we made sure to walk the beach each day.

Happy Belly

The Food was great, the main restaurant was a typical Riu buffet with different choices every night and theme nights. They also have 3 a-la-carte restaurants which include a steakhouse, Italian and Aruban cuisine. The food was abundant and amazing on all days and we had no complaints. However, the steakhouse is not to be missed as it is located outside and has an amazing sunset view while dining.

Renova Spa

On our last day, we decided to indulge in a couples aromatherapy massage at the Renova spa located right on the Riu property. The spa was clean and customer service was excellent. This was the perfect way to end our last day in Aruba. We were not able to get the outside cabana for our massages, so make sure to book earlier in advance. It is located right by the pool area and you can hear the ocean while getting a massage.
